With joy, in the context of the domestic anarchist movement, we welcomethe creation of a new group CAS - the Czechoslovak AnarchistAssociation. Given that CAS activists are also active in Ostrava, wewill be open to cooperation. Here is the text of their openingstatement. ---- The Czechoslovak Anarchist Association (CAS) wasestablished by the declaration of the founding congress on October 21,2023, out of the need to create an authentic social-anarchistorganization. We are not creating anything new - on the contrary. We aretrying to return anarchism to its original content - we understand it asa movement based on the emancipatory traditions of great socialstruggles. We do not strive for media-acceptable language expression; weadmit that our long-term goal is a society of anarchist communism. Justas we naturally reject voter participation, xenophobia or nationalism,we also reject militarism and its financial or verbal support.Why don't we join one of the existing groups or collectives? We believethat the current collectives have already exhausted themselves in acertain way and are operating in a kind of inertial mode. They do notoffer any long-term vision, they do not have specific class strugglestrategies or mid-term goals, and they are programmatically unanchored.Often, due to capacity reasons, they focus on one partial topic. Thisdoes not mean that they do not do their activities well, but in theCzech context, for example, we are noticeably missing active anarchistresistance against the antisocial right-wing government, whose austeritypolicy has nothing to do with the government of Necas or Topolánek. Butthen masses of people protested against bosses and politicians. We wantto connect with everyone who is threatened by high food or energy pricesand exert effective pressure against these tendencies.At the same time, we welcome cooperation with other collectives andindividuals who share anarchist principles. We did not come into themovement to drive a wedge. We have come to deliver a new impulse.
