for the future. It is based on a totally erroneous approach, which
aggravates the problems and leads to a massacre of peoples. It is
necessary to abandon this attitude as quickly as possible and put an end
to the attacks. If Hamas' action is unacceptable, the attitude of the
Israeli state is just as unacceptable. The blockade and attacks on Gaza
must end immediately.

Going beyond the nation-state
The Palestinian question can be resolved through democracy and
recognition of the rights of the Palestinian people, not through violent
methods. Violence will only make the problems worse. The terrible scenes
of recent days are the result of the impasse into which the Palestinian
question has been pushed. The cause is the problem itself. If we are
truly concerned about this situation, we must focus on resolving the
Palestinian question. Every measure taken, every position adopted
without taking into account the resolution of the Palestinian question
and the rights of the Palestinian people, leads to a worsening of the
problems. The Palestinian question, which has lasted for almost a
century, has proven this time and again.

The events in Palestine and Israel have once again shown the importance
of the concept of democratic nation developed by Rêber Apo[Abdullah
Öcalan]for the resolution of problems in the Middle East. The statist
mentality is at the origin of the problems of societies and humanity.
These problems have continued to grow with the penetration of statist
thinking into societies throughout the history of humanity until today.
This statist mentality is at the root of the historical Arab-Jewish
conflict. With the transposition of the nation-state system developed by
capitalist modernity to the Middle East, the problems have only
worsened. All current problems in the Middle East, including the Kurdish
question, are due to the nation-state mentality. The Israeli-Palestinian
conflict also has its roots in the nation-state mentality. The problems
of the Middle East, especially the Kurdish problem and the Palestinian
problem, can only be solved by moving beyond the nation-state mentality.

The problems cannot be solved, as is often claimed, by the creation of
other states, but, on the contrary, by the construction of a democratic
nation based on free, egalitarian and democratic self-management. The
problems of both the Jewish people and the Palestinian people can be
solved in this way. Nation-state models inevitably lead to conflict, war
and mutual destruction. The Arab-Jewish reality best illustrates this
situation. The only method to break this destructive vicious circle is
the democratic nation approach.

"We defend the rights of the Palestinian people"

The cause of the Palestinian people is legitimate. The Kurdish
liberation movement stands with the just cause of the Palestinian
people. The resolution of the Palestinian question, like that of the
Kurdish question, is crucial for the resolution of problems in the
Middle East and for democratization of the region. The State of Israel
should recognize this reality and, above all, the existence and
democratic will of the Palestinian people. The resolution of the
Palestinian question is the fundamental condition for all the peoples of
the Middle East, and in particular the Jewish people, to live in
freedom, security and peace. "The Jewish people have the right to live
in their region of origin."

On the other hand, a correct and respectful approach to the historical
atrocities and genocides experienced by the Jewish people is absolutely
necessary. Without a solution to the Palestinian question, the Jewish
people will not be able to find peace either. We believe that the Jewish
people have this awareness, this wisdom and this will. The Jewish
people, one of the oldest peoples in the Middle East, played a very
important role in the formation of Middle Eastern culture and society.
Just like the Kurdish, Arab, Persian, Turkish, Aramaic and other peoples
of the Middle East, the Jewish people have the right to live in the
Middle East in their region of origin.

"Erdogan sheds crocodile tears"
The Turkish state and the AKP/MHP[Islamo-nationalist coalition in power
in Turkey]regime do not have an honest and sincere approach to the
Palestinian question. They consider it exclusively as a subject of
instrumentalization. Fascist head of state Tayyip Erdogan views the
Palestinian question and the Palestinian people from this angle and
tries to use it as a means of pressure to impose his genocidal policy on
the Kurdish people. This is the only reason why he is interested in the
Palestinian question. If the Turkish state and Tayyip Erdogan were
sincere, firstly, they would not treat the Kurdish people in this way
and, secondly, they would resolve the Kurdish question. The Kurdish
question has similar features to the Palestinian question. Just as one
cannot be right and democratic in Israel without perceiving and
recognizing the rights of the Palestinian people, one cannot be right
and democratic in Turkey without perceiving the Kurdish reality, without
recognizing the rights of the Kurdish people and without supporting the
struggle of the Kurdish people.

Those who despise and deny the Kurds cannot stand alongside other
peoples. While denouncing Israel's attacks against the Palestinians,
Tayyip Erdogan speaks of attacking the Kurds more harshly. What is this
if not hypocrisy and deception? These are clearly crocodile tears that
he is shedding over Palestine. How can he talk about what is happening
in the Gaza Strip and the suffering of the Palestinian people when
everyone sees what he is doing to Rojava? During the Turkish state's air
attacks on Rojava, all infrastructure in the region was targeted and
affected. Dams, power plants, oil wells, supply depots and many other
facilities were hit by the bombs. Dozens of people were killed. This is
the attitude of the Turkish state towards the Kurdish people. Those who
do this to the Kurds cannot sincerely approach the Palestinians.
