SUNDAY 29/10 AT 11:00 AT ST VENIZELOS ---- The horrors of war andbrutality deepen day by day, while the Palestinian people continue to bemurdered and displaced. Yesterday, the Israeli state's ground invasionof the Gaza Strip began, while numerous bombardments hit and destroyedentire areas. Palestine and its people have been struggling for years,falling into the jaws of the expansionist designs and totalitarianpolicies of the state of Israel and global interstate alliances. ---- OnSaturday, October 7, a surprise military strike, the preparation ofwhich was undertaken by the Islamist Hamas, took place in southernIsrael, when the organization's gunmen invaded settlements, overcomingthe wall that Israel has built on the border with Gaza, while alsoattacked a music festival held in the area, killing civilians andcapturing hundreds of people. This was followed by some gruesomedocuments showing many of the brutalities suffered by those who werecaptured or in other cases the violent death of certain individuals.These images quickly reached the world's television receivers and beganto be shown in an attempt to isolate the specific event from the generalissue that has been developing in the region for the last 75 years andat its center is the continuous and unstoppable occupation of thePalestinian territories by its state Israel, the multi-year totalblockade of the Gaza Strip, as well as Israel's intensifying settlementoperations in various areas, mainly in the West Bank. But as much asthey cause logical disgust, these images are nothing more than thederivative of a barbarism that must end, that of the occupation of theterritories and the genocide of the Palestinian people. Another evenmore powerful and heinous crime of this policy took place when theIsraeli Air Force bombed Gaza's main Al Ahli Arabi hospital, killingover 500 people, many of them children. Responsibility for this warcrime rests entirely with the internationally recognized state of Israel.The fact that the Palestinian people are the weakest link in thiscontinuing chain of violence which is a product of military occupationcannot be changed by the fact that Hamas seems to have upgraded itsmilitary power. We, as anarchists, do not justify anything that goesbeyond our own value code in the way and means we use in the battleagainst a stronger and better equipped enemy, while the "ideal and aimsof any politico-religious organization find us opposed, however we feelthat we have nothing to apologize to those who with unimaginablehypocrisy shed tears only for the victims of their allies, while turninga blind eye to the massacres of civilians, the bombing of hospitals, theblockade and the policy of apartheid that Israel upholds against thePalestinian people for decades. And they happen to be the powerful ofthe world again: the US government, NATO, the EU, all the countries ofthe West, Greece and with them all the known bastards of the far right,who put aside for now their real and abysmal anti-Semitism, just becauseIsrael is a strong pole in the geopolitical system and they areinvesting in new fears by promoting a modern anti-Islamism.Israel is an internationally recognized state, its citizens are normalcitizens and has the support of the most powerful coalitions of militaryand political power on the planet, while the Palestinians (especially inGaza) are an unrecognized body politic, whose inhabitants are consideredin the category of the "killable population". The horrific statements byIsrael's defense minister that the people of Gaza are animals arenothing more than a prelude to genocide and ethnic cleansing. The newalliance in the government of Israel between the right and the extremeright intensifying settlements and displacements is forming, as it hasfull force, new impasses leading with mathematical precision to anotherbloodbath. The universal despair and the need of all homogeneouspolitical bodies for collective dignity also leads to the logic of theResistance until the end.In addition, the criminal tying of Greece, as a country that plays therole of the first guide in all the plans of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition,the USA and NATO, the absolute identification and alliance with Israel,which reached the unheard of ridiculousness of a Greek prime ministerattempting to visit a war zone, lead the country down very dangerous warpaths, while leaving the social base exposed to the just struggle of thePalestinian people, eroding whatever bridges of solidarity and supportthe country had historically formed.We call on the whole world, workers, students, progressive citizens andthose who can understand that we cannot remain idle in the face of a newgenocide that is currently unfolding live in front of our eyes. The cryof the Jewish protester in London that when we say Holocaust again wemean against anyone let him be a guide to the Peace that can existthrough real justice, the total liberation of peoples from nationalism,religion, racism and intolerance.- Withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Palestine- Lift the blockade on Gaza. Free access to electricity, water & medicalcare- No military ground or other operations in Gaza. To oppose the policiesof extermination of the Palestinian people- To stop the settlements and apartheid against the Palestinians- Support those who fight against the death policy in Israel.
