Strip, just as we totally condemn the atrocities recently committed byHamas. ---- The events of this October are the last link in a chain ofdestruction and hatred and as always the working class population ofGaza is the one who suffers the most under phosphorus explosives and"death from above" of Israeli rockets and jets, which encounter littleresistance from a Palestinian government that, despite being armed tothe teeth with small arms, has no air force or air defense.----Hamasattacks have for years oscillated between impotent anger and thedesperate attempt to maintain themselves as defenders of the Palestinianpeople, but the recent brutal attack has brought the Palestinian issueback to the center of international attention. The Israeli retaliation, the proportions of which we do not yet know, will hardly lead to the disappearance of Hamas but it has legitimizedIsrael in accelerating the final solution in Gaza. And if the Israeligovernment now invites us to consider Hamas the new Isis, how can weforget that Hamas is Was it originally supported by the Israeli state toweaken the more secular Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)?Founded by the Palestinian cleric Sheikh Ahmed Yasin and born from theMujama al-Islamiya, considered an organization engaged in works ofcharity and assistance for the Palestinian community in Gaza, it wasconsidered a decidedly preferable enemy to the PLO, which enjoyedinternational credit unattainable for Hamas, linked to Hezbollah andsubsequently to a good part of the Islamic fundamentalist galaxy, withhostile attitudes towards women, LGBQT people and the Palestinianworking class. Thus Hamas obtained popular support in Gaza, with aconsequent Islamic radicalization of society, while the West Bankremained formally in the hands of the impotent and corrupt PalestinianNational Authority, heir only in name to the secular tradition of AlFatah, defusing any attempt at political negotiation .Now, after years of dripping, siege and embargo, of deafening politicalloneliness of the Palestinians, Palestine is emerging from forgottenconflicts and threatens to trigger an escalation of the state of globalbelligerence. And if, as always, it is the proletarians on both sides ofthe conflict who suffer most from the escalation, the respectiveleaderships have managed to divert attention from their own problems. The brutal attacks that caused many hundreds of deaths in Israelstrengthened the image of Hamas in the Arab world, and on the other handcreated a feeling of national unity and temporarily strengthened theposition of the Netanyahu government, whose political consensus wasdropped to historic lows after nine months of unrest, including ageneral strike, over unpopular judicial reforms. Thousands of peoplehave now been massacred both in Israel and in Palestine, and theconsequences of the conflict and the increasingly concrete large-scaleinvasion of Gaza in the coming weeks are already atrocious, with theconsequent influx of refugees that no Arab government, outside ofincreasingly empty declarations of solidarity, he is willing to accept.Together with the war between Russia and Ukraine, the conflict betweenArmenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh and the growing tensionsbetween China, Taiwan and the United States in the Pacific, the possiblewidening of the conflict in Israel-Palestine, for example with LebanonHezbollah constitutes yet another piece of global instability thatthreatens us all.The varied movement, which has taken to the streets of much of theworld, which also sees the presence and participation of theanti-Zionist opposition of the Israeli government in calling for theimmediate suspension of the bombings and war crimes currently underway, the end of the embargo of Gaza, respect for international resolutionsand a political solution for Palestine sees us as participants. With theawareness that, if the priority now is the end of the war activitiesconducted essentially against the civilian population on both sides, theonly solution real long-term politics consists in strengthening theinternationalist social struggle that leads to the overcoming of thenationalist, fundamentalist and statist logic. We make our own what was supported by our Israeli comrades, who foralmost twenty years fought the Wall in the West Bank by building popularcommittees with the inhabitants of Palestinian villages and supportedthe Refusniks, against the military occupation. Because the solution tothe conflict can be, ultimately, only a common society, classless andstateless, in which people of different religious (and non-religious)and ethnic backgrounds can coexist peacefully. And the way to achieve this can only be through class struggle, withworking men and women uniting on both sides to improve their situationand thus overcome long-standing resentments. It is up to us, anarchist communist militants, libertarian and classactivists, to give our contribution, today as yesterday, to those whosupport the possibility of a free and equal society, of a just peace, ofcoexistence beyond borders, religions, nationalities.TWO PEOPLES, NO STATE! AGAINST WAR CLASS STRUGGLE.Construction site no. 21 November 2023 ilcantiere@autistici.orghttp://alternativalibertaria.fdca.it/_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
