whoever dares to defend the right of Palestine to exist, of

WITHOUT COMPASS

How far is Italy inserted in the context of the Mediterranean, a force
of peace, which dialogued with everyone (or at least tried to do so) not
because it was made up of "respectable people" (many were not) but
because that would be our strategic interest . Does no one wonder why
our country has remained immune from the major Islamic attacks of recent
years?
As with Ukraine, we now choose the worst, the worst for us, passively
following positions that characterize our insignificance.

BEFORE THE CLASS STRUGGLE

Somewhere, on the left, we also read curious interpretations of the
Palestinian story. Interpretations truly outside of reality that speak
of the abolition of borders, of class struggle, of a kind, in short, of
a vision entirely internal to the West. Perhaps it has not been
understood that, in the case of Gaza, we are in the stone age,8 here it
is not a question of class struggle, of anarchist demands, here we are
dealing with the need for survival.
The rest are moralistic considerations devoid of any possibility. We
will be able to talk about it when Palestine is a free and independent
state and when the main problem has been resolved. Gaza is the
extermination of a people in the 21st century and it is a question of
deciding whether one wants to be with the exterminated (unsympathetic,
violent, extremists and even mass murderers) or with the exterminators
(rich, democratic, westernized, racist and segregationists). I know, one
might say that you're not with anyone. But we are faced with an abuse of
power that has lasted for 56 years (at least) and the Hamas massacre
will certainly not make it any less so.
Also because in the nascent Israeli state there was certainly no shame
in using terrorism[9]. It is called "liberation struggle" if you win,
"terrorism" if you lose. After all, no one has ever managed to agree on
the meaning of the word.[10]
In short, it is a situation in which the enormity of the injustice, of
the iniquity, appears so obvious that it is impossible not to see it
only with your eyes closed. But even when you close your eyes you can
smell it. A smell that probably doesn't affect the majority of people.
And we only count deaths on one side.

A DIRTY WAR

For every wounded Ukrainian or Israeli we tell the story of his family,
for the hundreds, thousands of deaths in other parts not even the
number. Moreover, the American minister Madeleine Albright (may she burn
in hell for eternity) believed that 500,000 children who died due to the
embargo in Iraq were a fair price to pay.[11]When others die, the price
is always right.
Of course, someone, from the comfort of their homes, could object that
Hamas's method is not an acceptable method. It is curious how from the
armchair at home even the many activities that have created our very
poorly distributed well-being could appear unacceptable. Here comes to
mind the conversation in the film "The Battle of Algiers" between the

                                 Beyond Hamas, what it may represent,
the rejection that we wealthy (or almost) Westerners may have, the ways
in which we fight not a revolutionary war, but a war for survival or
even simply to not die like mice, It's not up to us to choose them. And
it's not up to us to point out the good and the bad. It's not up to us
to judge.

THEY TALK ABOUT US

When hatred is sown, a storm is reaped and the storm overwhelms
everything. The senseless Israeli ruling class and the choice of Hamas
seem to bring this story towards an apocalyptic conclusion.
