If his socialcommitment remains constant, his political approach changes over thedecades, moving from a purely anarcho-syndicalist vision to a morepragmatic and gradualist vision attentive to proposing concrete analyzesof the transformations taking place in society. His reflections allow usto reconstruct the intellectual path of one of the most lucidlibertarian thinkers of the twentieth century, as evidenced by his acuteanalysis of totalitarianism of the right and left and his incisivecriticism of a revolutionary conception incapable of reflecting in depthon the reasons that had led to the defeat of the Spanish Revolution andthe degeneration of the Russian Revolution.With David Bernardini we retraced the biography of Rocker and Germananarchism up to the threshold of the Great War.In the third of four episodes dedicated to Rocker we covered the intenseyears of the Great War, of anti-militarism, of the Weimar Republic up tothe resistance to Nazism.
