But what seems even more? alarming for the fate of our class isn't it?
only the failure to indicate the national general strike, as much as the
diversion and dispersion of the mobilizations for the defense of the
material conditions of the working masses towards spurious forms that go
beyond the history of our class. In fact, the final agenda states the
possibility of making "recourse to popular initiative laws to overcome
precariousness, the rules that have deregulated cascade subcontracting
in the public sectors and not protected workers in private contracts,
envisaging referendums abrogations in support of these demands and,
furthermore, to repeal the rules that undermine the stability of the
institutional system, the General Assembly mandates the Secretariat to
convene, shortly, a meeting of a seminar nature for a broad and in-depth
and to take the specific consequent decisions" (3) When a trade union
organization knowingly fails to fulfill its fundamental mission, what is
it? that of defending the material conditions of the working class
through social conflict with the weapon of the strike, favoring unity?
and class solidarity in order to build favorable power relations, but
defeat is pushed to political, institutional and legislative terrains

To defend the material interests of the subordinate classes there is no

To do this effectively it is necessary to build, support and generalize
platforms that are not generically defined to be more easily evaded: the

concretely supported and not just stated to then be substantially
contradicted in the individual national and decentralized categorical
negotiations, with the continuous openness on the part of the confederal
trade unions to requests for corporate and/or contractual welfare which
facilitate and support the privatizations
It is not? Is it possible to win a real battle for the reduction of
working hours with equal pay if the strategic horizon remains the need
to aim towards spaces of "co-determination", thus assuming the
necessity? to defend competitiveness? of our national companies, never
exceeding the so-called concertation and therefore the capitulation of
proletarian interests to the economic interests of the bourgeoisie.
Subordination to the interests of capital determines the desire to
weaken social conflict and the tired, ritual and inconclusive request to
be called to government negotiating tables, in the vain illusion that
these can really be decisive for the fate of our class. The current
government, faithful to its promise to "not disturb those who create
wealth", has clearly identified its social block of reference: from the
categories of self-employment, to professions up to big capital.
As a movement of workers, it is therefore necessary and urgent to
rebuild our social class bloc in order to win again.
What is therefore necessary is not a generic list of proposals, but a
few concrete and unitary objectives on which to build a long and
tenacious battle with articulated strikes up to the general strike on a
unifying wage objective for all categories and an equally clear
indication on the reduction of hours with equal pay.
Do you play and will you play on these two pitches? the future of the
balance of power between the next generations, in conjunction with
further technological development which increasingly involves the use of
manpower.
Only by returning to victory will it be possible to effectively direct
our action for the defense and relaunch of public health, education and
pensions in order to improve the quality of life of the lower classes.
