At the call of the Libertarian Communist Union, a demonstration wasorganized, Saturday December 16, 2023 in Fougères (Ille-et-Vilaine), tosay no to the Darmanin bill. ---- Banners and signs clearly visible,around thirty opponents of the Immigration law passed by the governmentgathered on Saturday December 16, 2023, in Fougères. At 11 a.m., PlaceAristide-Briand, the demonstrators responded to the call launched by theLibertarian Communist Union. ---- Several collectives were represented,such as the Fougères Feminist Group, the Bienvenue association and theLa France insoumise party."We are united and in force against this bill," insist the organizers onthe megaphone. This is one of the most repressive and xenophobic textsin 30 years. The National Assembly rejected it on Monday, December 11,but the government persists in maintaining it with the creation of ajoint committee.»In the audience, everyone feared the adoption of an even harsher versionfor foreigners and people in an irregular situation on the territory.The demonstrators took advantage of the opportunity to challenge ThierryBenoît, deputy for the 6th constituency of Ille-et-Vilaine.
