The perpetrator, a Syrianrefugee, represents the ideal culprit in the eyes of the far right. ÉricZemmour goes so far as to speak of "Francocide". For their part, streetgroups marched shouting nationalist slogans such as: "Blue, white, red,France for the French" or downright revolutionary nationalist: "Europe,youth, revolution". Already in October 2022, Lola's murder had been theoccasion for sordid hateful reprisals giving rise to rallies in many cities.The murder of Dominique Bernard in Arras by a young man of Ingush originwas an opportunity to reach a new level.
