After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941, the UnitedStates entered the Second World War which ended with the most atrociouswar attack in the history of humanity: the atomic bombings of Hiroshimaand Nagasaki ---- After 82 years still we witness war scenarios: wehelplessly observe cities razed to the ground by armies, we see massgraves filled in a hurry and we continue to hear nationalist, racist andwarmongering speeches. The powerful become increasingly richer throughspeculation on the desperation of victims and refugees... and it isincreasingly difficult to create a united anti-authoritarian front awareof its own strength. Precisely for this reason, as an anarchist groupMikhail Bakunin we believe it is essential to stop and reflect on thedesperation of those who suffer war, on the crazy concept of thenation-state and how it crumbles in the face of a child who dies in hismother's arms and on the rhetorical concept of international law that isbeing swept away by those who bomb schools, hospitals and humanitariancorridors into which they had channeled fleeing people. Also for this reason, on Thursday 7 December we will see each other from7pm at the headquarters in via Vettor Fausto 3, in Garbatella, todiscuss international conflicts and the collective paths we canundertake. We will screen the animated film "Barefood Gen" (literally"Barefoot Gen"), by Mori Masaki, which tells the story of life inHiroshima during the war and how, miraculously, Keiji Nakazawa (theauthor of the manga from which it is based the film) survived thenuclear explosion.Mikhail Bakunin Anarchist Group - FAI Rome & Laziogruppobakunin@federazioneanarchica.org_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
