As another Thanksgiving season unfolds, the shadow of cruelty looms over our holiday feasts. Recent convictions of two more ex-Plainville Farms employees, one of the major turkey suppliers in the country, once again have us asking questions about the ethical sourcing of our turkeys. These convictions add to a disturbing pattern of abuse at Plainville Farms, where employees "kicked, stomped and beat turkeys."
In 2021, shocking undercover footage revealed turkeys being horrifically abused at Plainville Farms' facilities, leading to the largest number of charges in any factory-farmed animal case in U.S. history. This year, the continuing legal repercussions confirm that these were not isolated incidents but part of a broader, systemic problem. It's time to send a clear message: animal abuse will not be tolerated, and it certainly won't be funded by our holiday purchases. Sign the petition to urge Publix, Wegmans, and Harris Teeter to take a stand against animal cruelty by discontinuing their business with Plainville Farms!
Thank you,
Jess

P.S. Animal abuse won't be funded by our holiday purchases. Act now!
