My work as THE CITY’s Queens reporter takes me all around the globe – right here in one of the world’s most ethnically diverse places.
I love to hit the streets to talk with New Yorkers from all walks of life about what matters most to them. That’s why I love working at THE CITY, where we put humans first. I learn so much from the everyday New Yorkers who drive our stories and inspire us to spotlight perspectives that others might find inconvenient or too easy to overlook.
And there’s nowhere I’d rather do this work than in Queens. The borough is unique in its diversity and its social and political contrasts. It’s a place we can turn to to understand how and why New Yorkers are divided on hot-button issues – but it’s also a place we can turn to to find inspiration in how we can thrive in spite of differences.
I’m so glad to work at THE CITY, where I get to dig deep into these complexities for meaning and insight. And I’m grateful for the readers who make my work here possible.
