it came in a context of upheaval and important concern with the measures promoted by the government of Javier Milei and what they will bring in the coming months. The shock was tremendous, even surpassing previous analyzes of what this government would bring. The impact on our daily lives is overwhelming, even though the toughest measures have not yet been implemented. ---- In the last months of last year we advanced some central issues that this government would implement. However, reality exceeded what was anticipated. With the DNU and the package of laws presented in Congress, the government seeks to modify long-held power relations and quickly and effectively change course. Today, just over a month after Javier Milei, along with his team and his partners (Macristas and Menemistas), came to power, we can draw some conclusions that, although provisional, can serve to guide our analysis. -Milei and his team seek to step on the accelerator: measures such as the DNU and the omnibus law point to a gross change in the rules of the game in countless sectors and aspects. A disruptive way of dealing with recent Argentine politics, where the adjustment and the constant and gradual crisis were getting us used to the worsening of conditions. Even different from the government of Mauricio Macri, where reforms were sought, but more specific and progressive. It is a context, the current one, where it is difficult to find a person who is not directly affected by the government's measures. - As we anticipated in previous analyses, it would indeed seem that the alliance with the sector dominated by Mauricio Macri del Pro gave it enough structure to continue betting on winning. And it is also possible that Macri himself is executing a project that even surpasses Milei, weaving his own strategy from the shadows, but with a lot of political influence. - A key point, necessary to highlight because it establishes a change with the rhetoric of the last forty years, is an open contempt for legality and the Constitution, as well as a constant search for greater autonomy for the executive. - Another interesting fact is the surprise and international interest that Milei's election and government measures arouse. From the political arc present at his inauguration, to the constant crossings on social networks, Argentina becomes an experiment to be observed by the rest of the planet. - Apparent lack of concern or minimization by the government of the immediate effects of the crisis. Obviously, the reading they make is that they have enough support so that explosions or popular rebellions of magnitude do not occur, beyond the organized protests that Bullrich and his ministry seek to control with his repressive and persecutory protocol. However, it is worth noting that the policy of increasing the amount of misery implied by the universal child allowance and the continuity of social plans indicate that there is also a reading of which sectors may overflow more than desired. Meanwhile, beyond the resounding loss of general purchasing power, both retirees and workers, formal and informal, are the main affected. - The national government and aligned provincial governments mark the public sector as a scapegoat. Since the inauguration, this sector has been suffering the greatest effects and, on the other hand, it is also one of the most dynamic and present in sectoral and general struggles. - It is not surprising that the government maintains the continuity of the credit policy with the IMF, but it is surprising that the campaign promises nevertheless become a strategy of increasing taxes as the main means of fiscal adjustment. The increase in withholdings, the intention to restore income tax and the general increase in taxes and services marks this. -Finally, also as we anticipated, the other side of this unbridled adjustment and removal of rights is the growth of the repressive strategy, focused mainly on the sectors organized with the circus protocol to implement in the streets of the Federal Capital and the criminal and economic persecution to organizations and their representatives. Faced with these abuses, we believe that it is important to analyze the possible paths of response that have been outlined during the last month and a half since the assumption of Javier Milei to the presidency and in view of the National Strike on January 24: The judicial path launched quickly and from various sectors. The protections were promoted to put a stop to specific points of what was established in the DNU of last December and which came into force on December 29. Among them, those aimed at labor issues stand out, by the CGT and the CTA, but being much broader, reaching the point that today 70% of the mega DNU is judicialized. Points on the reform of the State, labor, foreign trade, bioeconomy, aviation, justice, health, communication, sports and tourism are in different states within the judicial path. The parliamentary route. The extraordinary sessions that began to operate this month with the purpose of discussing the so-called Omnibus Law allow a platform for both the ruling party and the opposition to present their positions on these measures. Beyond what happens on the premises, representative democracy provides the rules of the game for extreme delegation and the commitment of the "electorate" to make its "representatives" defend their interests. Specifically, in general terms it is a tug of war where the most disruptive thing was the government's attitude of betting on everything or nothing, that is, on the law being approved in its entirety. This would seem to be becoming relativized, we believe from our perspective, more linked to the effect of repudiation and the positions taken outside the legislature. Path of partisan opposition and of referents, media and outraged "citizens" on social networks. At this point we generally point out a diverse number of demonstrations of rejection of the measures promoted by the Milei government. On the one hand, repudiation on social networks, campaigns to collect signatures (also virtual), dissemination of data for debate with what is proposed by the government are common currency, promoted both by militant sectors of progressivism, which follow the same dynamic from the electoral period of 2023 as well as by sectors that are now very affected in their specific conditions by the package of measures. On the other hand, we find expressions in the media from different political sectors, always in personalist and debate terms, here it is worth highlighting the lukewarmness and even deliberate silence of sectors of the outgoing government and the immobile opposition of Kirchnerism and massism, which came out to brand the General Strike measure called by the CGT as excessive. At this point, we believe that almost all of the interventions are part of the electoral dispute and the game of representation, seeking to reference personalities rather than having a significant effect on reality. Path of organization and struggle in resistance from popular sectors, unions, etc.: the path of direct action as a strategy to resist and confront the measures promoted. Here we can mention the initiatives called by particularly affected sectors, both in terms of street struggles and also in the formation of meeting bodies, assemblies and organization in general. For example, actions promoted by tenants, retirees, in defense of culture and science, just to name a few. On the other hand, important sectors of social, picketing and territorial organizations have been exponents of constant mobilization during this month and a half. To this it is worth adding unionism, in different expressions, regional or national, where particularly intense struggles have developed. Especially the mobilization of December 27 to justice promoted by the CGT and the next general strike on January 24. That tool, the general strike at the national level, called by CGT and CTAs, we understand is unbalancing and indispensable in this context. The fact that a strike has not been called for 5 years undoubtedly also partly explains why we are in this situation, however, it does not diminish the importance and relevance of participating and going beyond the measure. Are these opposite paths? Not necessarily. Without a doubt, the seriousness of the events, the pressing emergencies, justify the articulation of various avenues of action and in that sense we welcome all the initiatives that in some way contribute to addressing them. However, it is necessary to consider two things: on the one hand, what strategies will contribute in the medium long term to building resistance that is oriented towards strengthening the people and building popular power, and which ones will contribute to the continuity of the representative democratic game and its rules that They have brought us this far. And on the other hand, what is the potential of isolated actions, in the face of a wave of measures that specifically attacks so many sectors and how much more could be achieved by uniting the struggle in pursuit of unity. Thus, from anarchism, with our strong conviction that the State and Capitalism go hand in hand, that from the institutions of the system we can only expect the prolongation of current conditions, we express that it is time to organize the forces to the maximum. popular and collaborate with unity to confront the ultraliberal advance from the struggle in the street. Only with direct action, with the possibility for our people to exercise their decision-making capacities and regain their prominence, will we be able to put a stop to these measures and those to come. This is not a time for sectarianism but for the broadest unity. In that sense, we welcome the struggle plan promoted by the union centers and believe that it is a step on the right path. For this reason, we consider that the place of anarchists in this situation is to participate and promote these measures, in the greatest possible arc of unity and overflowing from below any attempt at a truce to adjustment, hunger, unemployment, poverty and inequality. .
