The OSL expresses its solidarity with the families of the Nestor Makhno
Occupation, in Massapê, Ceará, evicted by the PM's riot squad, on the

State is at the service of large landowners and against poor families
who simply seek a dignified life. ---- The Nestor Makhno Occupation is
organized by the Terra Liberta Popular Organization. The families had
been there since April, on a farm that had been abandoned for 30 years.
With a lot of effort, the occupants started plantations and raising
animals to survive in a dignified way. In June, the court ordered the
repossession with the use of the police, without any alternative for the
families, neither from the courts, nor from the city hall, nor from the
state government. The eviction killed animals, destroyed crops and
families' personal belongings.

We express our support for the evicted families, and denounce the
omission of the government of Elmano de Freitas (PT), further proof that
no government is in favor of the real needs of the working class.
