A founding and essential meeting for the democratic life of ourconfederation, the 36th congress which was held in Paris from December14 to 17, 2023 was rich in discussions and debates on the union andstatutory orientations of our organization as well as meetings. andexchanges with our comrades from the international delegations of theSpanish Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT), the German FreieArbeiterinnen- und Arbeiter-Union (FAU) and the Spanish ConfederaciónGeneral del Trabajo (CGT). The CNT warmly thanks these 3 sisterconfederations for their coming and their intervention.Building on the decisions taken during the 36th Congress, the CNT isbeginning the process of joining the Confédération Internationale duTravail - International Confederation of Labor (CIT-ICL) and hopes toquickly join our comrades present in Paris to strengthen ourinternationalism.The confederation emerges united and strengthened from this democraticmoment by the adoption of anti-patriarchal and anti-racist statutorymodifications as well as by the structuring of "free women" committeeswithin the CNT.
