 AGAINST EMPLOYER TERRORISM, WORKER MURDERS, THE SUPPRESSION AND CRIMINALIZATION OF LABOR AND SOCIAL STRUGGLES ---- In the midst of a deep overall systemic crisis, the state capitalist system accelerates restructurings that target every manifestation of social life, devaluing basic social needs, work, health, education, housing, transportation. At the same time, the plundering of nature, as a result of the destructive

plans of the state and capital, has as a direct consequence, at the same
time, the formation of a dystopian world in which the daily life of
societies develops, vast acres of burnt land, dead animals and dozens of
dead people. The state, loyal to the neoliberal model followed since the
years of the memorandum in the Greek area, continues to intensify social
and class exclusions and to increase the cost of living at even more
intensive rates, while uninsured and precarious work, flexible working
hours, intensification of work, privatization and management by the
bosses of all our basic needs are signs that respond to capitalism's
need to exacerbate class inequality and completely devalue our lives.
The exploited and the oppressed continue to pay with their blood for the
maintenance and reproduction of the barbaric exploitative oppressive
system that oppresses, murders and impoverishes. This is demonstrated by
the dozens of murders of workers in the factories of modern slavery,
which for 2023 alone, so far, have reached 171. The highest death toll
in recent years, with the most recent being that of the 57-year-old
worker in Perama on 12/18, the 55-year-old worker who was trapped in
marble slabs in the old Thessaloniki-Kavala highway, the worker at the
American embassy who fell against the wall on 6/12, the 44-year-old in
Oropos Preveza from a fall on 11/12 and the 50-year-old in Achaia, a
worker in water supply projects which was crushed by soil on 24/11. The
number is only indicative, as well as the 250 declared injuries during
working hours, due to both the de facto abolition of the body to which
the workers were directed (SEPE: Labor Inspection, indicatively, the
downgrading of the SEPE began under the SYRIZA government, in 2013, with
the gradual closing of departments throughout Greece), that is, the
withdrawal of control mechanisms that examined employer abuses and to
which employees could turn, as well as due to the aggravation of
employer terrorism and intimidation of employees.
All of the above are not isolated incidents, partial deviations of some
"bad" bosses, but the result of central political decisions of the state
apparatus, regardless of political management. The liberalized working
hours, the flexibility of labor relations, undeclared and black work,
the lack of protective measures in the workplace, the abolition of the
Sunday holiday, the encroachment of the 8-hour work day and the new bill
that allows 13 hours and 6 days, are nothing but conditions who were
already trying to dominate. Conditions that resulted in workers
collapsing from exhaustion, working two jobs to make ends meet, even
when they were past the human body's age limit - which, combined with
the lack of any safeguards, for employers to save costs - it turns out
to be fatal for workers' lives and their physical integrity. All these
"deviations" are officially legislated, throughout the last 12 years of
continuous restructuring, sealing the bleeding and exhaustion of
society, its murder on the altar of the bosses' profit. While how much
our dynasts care about the lives of the plebeians is amply demonstrated
by the thousands of dead due to the criminal management of the pandemic,
the dozens of victims of state capitalist crime in Tempi, the dead from
the catastrophic fires and floods in the summer in Thessaly, in Rhodes ,
in Volos and Evros, the murdered Roma by the uniformed bastards of ELAS,
the drowning of hundreds of immigrants and refugees at the water and
land borders of Europe Fortress.
In today's conditions of deep capitalist crisis, where the attack
against the great social majority intensifies, with the intensification
of the conditions of exploitation and impoverishment and the widening of
social and class exclusions, the state continues its brutal repressive
attack on those who struggle against state and capitalist brutality.
That is why it criminalizes trade union action, outlaws the weapon of
the strike, attacks with ferocity the social and class resistances, and
especially the most radical, self-organized and unmediated ones. Because
if anything shakes the world of the bosses, it is only the possibility
of people to collectivize, to organize and outside of reformist and
bureaucratic logics to claim the life that belongs to them.
For our part, we understand that the only path open to the oppressed and
exploited is the struggle for social and class emancipation, the
struggle we all have to fight together and not as individualized units
in the face of the superweapon of an enemy who only intends for the poor
to be exploited , misery, wars and death. The defense of labor
interests, needs, life and our dignity goes through joint, horizontally
coordinated, organized action from below. The organization of our
resistances is a crucial issue, especially in a period of total and
organized attack of the state and capitalist system. Collectivization,
common action and understanding based on anarchist values are our tools
against the modern totalitarianism of state and capital, against their
attempt to convince us that the end of history has come, that there is
no perspective beyond the dystopian present and the power system that
creates it and how if we choose the path of struggle and dignity we will
be crushed. The vision of a society without exploitation and oppression,
of a society of Equals will not be vindicated through our individual,
partial or spontaneous outbursts of righteous indignation but through
organized political struggle against our oppressors. The path we are
called to choose is the difficult path, the one that has as its compass
the new world that we carry in our hearts, that gives birth to History
and fights for our Cause. The Social Revolution.
