To date, nearly 185,000 euros havebeen raised, notably with the announcement of a participatory survey onsmall far-right groups. ---- Can you quickly present your media? ----StreetPress is an independent online investigative media, based inÎle-de-France, which is celebrating its 14th anniversary this year! Ourteam affirms its commitments against the extreme right, racism, policeviolence or in favor of undocumented people for example. We carry outinvestigations on these subjects but also other investigations andtestimonies on many social issues.Why did you decide to launch this participatory survey?With the help of our readers and supporters, we want to conduct thelargest investigation ever carried out on the far right and its radicalgroups. According to our estimates, in addition to far-right partieslike the RN which are present throughout the country, there are nearly150 groups active in France. They form a dense militant network and canattack people out of racism or because they do not adhere to theirrancid vision of France. Recent events such as the racist raid of 80activists from the four corners of France in Romans-sur-Isère at the endof November confirm our desire to investigate these groups.Are you particularly interested in certain far-right groups?Those that interest us are obviously those about which we have littleinformation. We know the groups in Paris or certain cities like Lyon,Marseille, Rennes well, but there are smaller ones, around ten activists(but around ten is enough to beat people up and traumatize them) whopass under our control. radars because we cannot be everywhere. Thereare around ten journalists in our editorial team.Do you think that this investigation could have concrete effects on thefar right (beyond information work)?We believe that we must continue, in fact, to investigate this part ofthe radical far right because on a local scale we can also show thelinks that these small violent groups have with parties andorganizations that claim to be more respectable. In summary: show thatdemonization is only an illusion. We have already published aninvestigation into the dozens of radicals who continue to work withinthe RN or in its pockets, but unfortunately this investigation foundlittle echo in the mass media and did not put much emphasis on the RN ina difficult position.How can our readers help you?By sending us any information on local far-right personalities or groupsthat they may have noticed.
