had not planned to install a photovoltaic power plant there. This
"field" of solar panels responding to the sweet name of "electric farm"
will however have nothing of a farm, and ticks all the boxes of the
useless and imposed project.

To be economically profitable, the private investor asked the town hall
to be able to acquire the wood in order to total an area of 16 hectares.
While our regions are full of hangars and car parks which, once covered,
could accommodate photovoltaic installations, the public authorities
have validated this project, arguing for the need to ensure the region's
energy sovereignty. We are therefore faced with what seems to be a real
insult to common sense: agricultural land and woods will be razed and
artificialized to allow energy production to be "decarbonized"... Let us
add that in the event of work and deforestation on the site , the risk
of releasing elements (lead, arsenic) into the surrounding rivers was
underestimated by the public authorities.

Logically, a 2009 decree prohibits this type of practice. But this is
very meager protection to the extent that town halls simply need to
change the destination of agricultural land in the Local Urban Plan
(PLU), to make it eligible for this type of land take. The opacity of
public authorities in this matter (refusal to organize public meetings
with local residents, to make impact studies available, etc.) can only
be explained by the profoundly absurd nature of such a project, which
only finds its meaning in its purely economic aspect.

Organize and fight against "green" productivism
Here again, financial considerations seem to take precedence over the
rest, agrivoltaism is only a new space of valorization for agribusiness
which is done to the detriment of our environment and for the benefit of
private interests, under the cover of sovereignty energy and so-called
"green" production (yes, you know, the green of dollar bills).

Organizing and fighting against ecocide projects must be one of our
priorities. We are the first and first affected by their harmful effects
on health, and the last and last to benefit from their economic
benefits. It is therefore, ultimately, a question of survival for the
working classes.

The merchants of dreams who get fat by promising us a carbon-free and
connected world, even as they destroy living things, we will always find
their profits in the way. And if they persist, we will know how to make
them pay too.
