and militancy as a revolutionary means?" ---- It will take place on

47, 10245 Berlin). ---- The question of violence is certainly one of the
big, perennial questions that necessarily arise in a revolutionary
debate and about which anarchists have also argued from the beginning.
Politicians repeatedly emphasize that violence cannot be a legitimate
political means, even though the legitimacy and use of violence is the
prerequisite for statehood. What does this mean for people who want a
stateless society?
How can societies be changed from a dominationless perspective and how
can people free themselves from oppressive conditions?
Some consider violence and militancy to be morally untenable, others see
it as practically necessary, and others are somewhere in between. What
exactly is violence and militancy and how does anarchist violence differ
from state violence? Is it justified to cause suffering in order to
combat greater suffering?
Can violence and militancy free people or does it automatically lead to
new oppression? Are anarchist forces even capable of organizing mass
violence? Should anarchists be pacifists or is pacifism a privileged dream?
We want to dare to discuss such a sensitive but therefore so important
topic and would like to get to know as different (including
non-anarchist) perspectives and thoughts as possible in order to argue
constructively.
