Going through the fourth week of mass general meetings and sit-ins,
yesterday, Thursday 1/2 we were back on the street, once againsupporting the bloc of student unions with open-ended resolutions. Themarch was flanked, once again, by a crowd of students, students withsquatters, teachers and workers. ---- And this Thursday it became clear, therefore, that the largest part of the social base, the oppressed partof the social fabric that is inside and outside the universitiesexplicitly stated that even in the field of the street it is called todefend public and free education with bottom-up processes, openframeworks and mass coordination committees. In essence, this week thecycle of competitive processes as a whole, as reflected either in thefield of the street or in that of the kinetic processes within thestudent clubs, highlighted the weighty importance of the horizontalprocesses that directly involve all students without the mediation, bureaucracy and "cinematic hooliganism" of other forces. Also, this week the Rectors' Synod met which, in full cooperation withthe Ministry of Education and its provisions, gave a single direction tothe Senates of all university institutions in the territory for therealization of electronic examinations. In turn, the Senate of AUTHdecided to go along with the decision of the Synod by announcing onWednesday night that the examination will be given "normally" andelectronically, in fact overruling the decisions of the AUTH studentassociations to occupy the departments and by extension to stop theiroperation. For this reason, the largest part of Thursday's march ended up in theasylum, where, based on the decisions to occupy the Rector's Office ofthe student associations of Geology and Electrical and MechanicalEngineering, male and female students proceeded to occupy theadministrative building with a basic request to lift the decision ofAUTH Senate for electronic examinations. Perceiving the conduct oftele-exams as another repressive mechanism of the state with the soleaim of demobilizing the struggling students and de-escalating thestruggle in general, we of course also supported this movement with ourstrength. In the now occupied Rectorate, a giant banner was hung with the centralslogan "Examinations can wait...our future can't" and was followed by aCoordinator of General Assemblies within it with the participation ofdozens of student associations and hundreds of students. However, a short time after the start of the coordination, during theprocess, i.e., where the clubs were presenting political considerationsaround the match being given and the participation of at least 300people, at the request of the temporary interim rector ApostolosApostolidis, all kinds of police forces invaded (from security to MATand EKAM) first inside the university asylum and second inside therectory itself where they searched the building for people who mightstill have stayed inside. A rally against the evacuation operation washeld right next door, where the student body lined up against the cops. The result was that the cops left the scene after half an hour, with theblocks of clubs following them until they were driven out and completelycordoned off the campus, defending the mass proceedings, decisions, demonstrations and student movement in whole of it. Then followedCoordinator of General Assemblies at NOPE.Yesterday's example is the way we must move. To fully oppose theprivatization of universities, to strengthen even more the procedureswithin the clubs with horizontality, to defend the asylum by all meansby resisting any encroachment on it. Essentially, let's continue butalso escalate the struggle, not to allow the repressive means unleashedby the state, such as the electronic examinations, the bravos of thereactionaries of the DAP-NDFK government faction and the prosecutorialinterventions to mean nothing in front of the real stake, the which isnone other than the defense of public and free education, health, transport, food, housing... in short the real issue is to live the liveswe deserve.THE EXAMINATION CAN OUR FUTURE WAIT NOMARCHES, OCCUPIATIONS, ASSEMBLY Clashes, MASSESSELF-ORGANIZED AND UNMEDIATED COMPETITION IN ALL SCHOOLS Quieta Movere Anarchist Student Assemblyhttps://landandfreedom.gr/el/agones/1491-thes-niki-enimerosi-anakoinosi-tis-quieta-movere-sxetika-me-tis-ekselikseis-tou-foititikoy-kinimatos_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
