WORLD WORLDWIDE RUSSIA All Out LGBTQ+ Homosexualité GAY News Journal Update - Sometimes escape is the only option 🇷🇺

Dear friends –

For LGBT+ Russians, things aren't getting any better.

Just over two months ago, the Russian Supreme Court labeled the "international public LGBT+ movement" as extremist. This followed last year's ban on legal and medical care for transgender people and the tightening of the anti-LGBT+ "propaganda law," criminalizing the mere mention of LGBT+ lives.

People are facing fines, detentions, violence, and even imprisonment for supporting LGBT+ rights (or – for one woman – jail time for simply wearing rainbow frog earrings!).

There have been raids on gay clubs and censorship of queer content online and in museums. And in some regions, queer folks are facing violence and death threats. The very existence of Russian LGBT+ people is under threat. For many, it's just too dangerous to stay in the country.

That's why we're partnering with NC SOS Crisis Group, a Russian LGBT+ rights group, that has been helping LGBT+ people in danger flee for years.

But they are facing too many requests from LGBT+ people who need to leave the country to keep up with. NC SOS Crisis Group needs your help to keep saving lives as more and more LGBT+ Russians try to escape a worsening situation.

Luc, will you donate today to save a Russian LGBT+ person's life and help them escape to a safer country?

The image shows two hands clasping each other, as if one person was helping another up, in front of a rainbow and a map of Russia, and next to an image of Saint Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. The text reads: Help evacuate LGBT+ people from Russia. Donate now.

NC SOS Crisis Group has been helping LGBT+ people flee from the regions where they face discrimination, violence, and mortal danger since the uncovering of the anti-LGBT+ crackdown in Chechnya, Russia, in 2017. Thanks to the urgent donations of thousands of All Out members, they were able to get dozens of people at risk to safety during the height of the crackdown in Chechnya.

Many queer Russians who have found a safe haven abroad would not have been able to make it without NC SOS Crisis Group's help. But the number of people who need to leave increases every day – and NC SOS Crisis Group cannot keep helping them without your support.

Let's not abandon our international LGBT+ community. We can keep NC SOS Crisis Group's mission going and we can keep saving lives. Please make a donation today for the sake of all those who are at risk in Russia!

YES, I'LL GIVE!

Thanks for going All Out,
