Below is our appeal and flyer for the event on Saturday 24 February2024, 2.30 pm Piazzale Loreto. ---- On February 24, the anniversary ofthe beginning of the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation insupport of the separatist republics of Donbass, we take to the streetsagainst all the wars, imperialist and colonial, that are blooding vastareas of the planet. ---- With the Israeli genocide underway in the GazaStrip, the opening of the conflict in the Red Sea, the clashes on theborder of Lebanon, the multiplication of Turkish attacks in Rojava, thetensions over Taiwan, the civil war in Sudan and in the Republic ofCongo, the struggle for control of resources on the African continent,the risk of war on a global scale is now a real possibility.What is the Italian government doing to guarantee itself a place at theimperialist banquet?- Launches new war missions by sending two frigates to the Red Sea andtaking charge of the EU-led Operation Aspides.- Fuels the ongoing bloody conflicts, with a new shipment of weapons toUkraine (according to data from the Institute for the World Economy inKiel, updated to 31 October, the Italian governments have already paid11 billion euros) and Israel, the deployment of 3,500 soldiers inEastern Europe and on the Black Sea, the sale of weapons throughout theworld and the training of the special forces of the militarydictatorships of the Sahel to block immigration and secure energy resources.- Allocate further billions for the military sector (war spending hasreached 104 million euros per day.!).
