The owner brought her dog to a veterinarian, who informed her that Tuffy's back had a ruptured disk and would require a $10,000 surgery to address. But most pet parents can't afford a price like that, and neither could Tuffy's mom. Heartbroken, she realized she would have to euthanize her beloved companion. Tuffy isn't the only dog to face mistreatment and injury at this Las Vegas pet grooming boutique. Other pet parents have also come forward to share their own harrowing experiences. One dog owner said her pup was returned to her with a fracture in her lower jaw. Yet when Tuffy's owner went to local authorities, they told her there wasn't sufficient evidence for them to act. So, what, are they never going to investigate a place with allegations of chronic abuse?
