Last Sunday on the show:

Restaurant Al Barmaki

Founded in 1976, Al Barmaki is the oldest Lebanese restaurant in Belgium. But the concept remains refreshingly contemporary in an age of dishes to share.

"Lebanese cuisine is all about mezze, about sharing dishes. There is no one Lebanese dish that I prefer. And it allows you to vary and combine flavours."

Gilles Bazambanza

Gilles came to Brussels with his mother shortly after the Tutsi genocide. He built a career in banking here but is now giving back to the community with his Kunoza coffee project.

"We want to guarantee consumers, roasters and individuals that our coffee is of high quality, but also that it has an impact in the country of origin."

Women's club The Nine

Women can use a coworking space and meeting rooms at The Nine, or just come for drinks and food, but various workshops and seminars are also organised every week.

"In the beginning, there was a lot of demand for professional development, for high-level discussions around politics and policy. So quite serious topics.
And then I saw in practice that the events that were fully booked were about personal development, about introspection, about self-reflection."

Report by Méabh Mc Mahon, Stefano Lapasini.

Anne Marie Delahunty

Irish Anne Marie Delahunty came to Brussels 30 years ago to work in the corporate world but ultimately decided to follow her passion and become an interior designer.

"From my first day in Brussels, I was amazed at how beautiful the city is. The fact that there are so many brocante and antique shops here, that you don't have to spend a lot of money to buy beautiful things."
