In April, we relaunched the international campaign to support Sudanese
anarchists as a platform in our region. In this short text, we want to
report on what has happened in this context over the last three months
and give a brief overview of what we are currently working on. ---- What
we did ---- To restart the campaign, we designed and printed a poster, a
flyer and a sticker in a uniform design. We also prepared a lecture on
the history and current situation in Sudan. We have given the lecture at
events in Berlin, Trier, Kaiserslautern, Koblenz, Mannheim and Siegen
over the last few months. We were also represented with our campaign
materials at the Anarchist Book Fair Mannheim and the anarchist Camp
Pinksterlandaggen in the Netherlands, at lectures by the Sudan AG
Rheinland in Cologne, Duisburg, Bonn and Bochum and at a rally by the AG
in Cologne. The campaign materials were also available at our local
groups' regular events, for example on May 1st. We also sent them to
interested groups and individuals via our material distribution service.

The support of the Sudanese anarchists is the first supra-regional
internationalist campaign that we are running as a platform in our
region. From this point of view, we are overall satisfied with what we
have achieved so far. We have succeeded in making the campaign
significantly more visible. In this sense, we would like to thank all
comrades who organized events with us or ordered material to display on
site. Without you, this would not have been possible.

What we are planning

Nevertheless, we obviously still see a lot of room for improvement in
the development of the campaign. The number of cities in which lectures
on the history and situation of Sudan have taken place is still very low
at ten. We are planning further events for the coming weeks and months,
for example in northern Germany, in southern Hesse and also in the Ruhr
area and Rhineland. In addition, we want to record the lecture and make
it available digitally. In the coming period, we also want to pay
particular attention to general solidarity work with the people of
Sudan. The example of solidarity organization in the Rhineland shows
that it is possible and sensible to become practically active in an
internationalist way, especially on less visible issues, and to form
alliances with Sudanese and German-Sudanese living here. We want to
strengthen this perspective and also start here in other cities.
