Our comrade, Serge Morisset died on the night of July 3 to 4, 2024. ----
Serge Morisset, Viscount Postal, a nickname he had long given himself, died on the night of July 3 to 4, 2024, in his 69th year, from an
illness he had been fighting for several years. We would like to pay
tribute to him with this press release. Serge, throughout his life, was
an activist in the social war that anarcho-syndicalists, revolutionary
syndicalists, and libertarians wage daily against capitalism generating
wars, genocides, social discrimination, racism, anti-Semitism, sexism,
ecological perils, class domination, and ideological alienation. ----
Before becoming the anarcho-syndicalist activist he became in the late
1980s by joining the CNT. Serge was a draft dodger, a shepherd in the
Pyrenees, a laborer, a photographer. At the CNT he played a key role in
the long and hard strike of metro workers managed by Comatec, this in
February 1989. This conflict allowed our self-managed union to reach a
milestone in the social field, thus overcoming a still marginal
situation to become an attractive pole that would be confirmed in the
student struggles of 1993, then the long strike against pensions in 1995.
