Kittens left to die and a cat's fight against cancer - We Must Save Them!

Animals First Aid NFP (AFA), is a not-for-profit committed to the well-being of animals.

Dear Luc,

At Animals First Aid, we continue our partnership with remarkable organizations dedicated to saving abandoned, suffering, and vulnerable animals. Today, we focus on two urgent cases that require immediate help: five fragile kittens abandoned on the doorstep of the Vera Vita shelter and a beloved cat with a tumor in Morocco under the care of the “You Can Save Me” shelter.

Vera Vita Shelter: Five Kittens Clinging to Life, and More Challenges

At Vera Vita, five tiny kittens were left on the doorstep, starving and fighting for survival. They were skin and bone, fragile in ways that break your heart. They’ve been given urgent medical attention and vaccines, but their recovery is still in its early stages. With every day, they show signs of improvement, but the shelter is running out of the resources needed to keep them on the path to full recovery.

Animals First Aid has already managed to provide €800 to cover medical bills and food.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, Animals First Aid has already managed to provide €800 to cover medical bills and food for these kittens, but this is not enough. Their food supply is running dangerously low, and Vera Vita is also struggling with a lack of basic provisions like kibble and tin canned food for both the cats and dogs under their care. The situation is becoming desperate.

“You Can Save Me” Shelter: A Cat’s Fight Against a Growing Tumor.

Luc,  meanwhile, in Morocco, another urgent cry for help has reached us from the “You Can Save Me” shelter. A beloved cat, who has captured the hearts of the shelter’s staff and supporters, is fighting against a rapidly growing tumor. Unfortunately, Morocco lacks access to the chemotherapy drugs she so desperately needs. Without this vital treatment, the tumor will continue to grow, forcing the shelter to face the heartbreaking possibility of euthanization. The staff believes that this cat, like all creatures, deserves a fighting chance at a better life. They are ready to do everything possible, but they need us to send this life-saving medication to give her that chance.

Both “Vera Vita” and “You Can Save Me” shelters are beacons of hope for animals in need. Vera Vita has saved countless lives through their relentless work with abandoned animals, and “You Can Save Me” shelter in Morocco has become a haven for cats and dogs who would otherwise be forgotten. But they cannot do it alone.

The €800 that Animals First Aid has provided is already making a difference, but the need is ongoing and urgent. Without more funds, these kittens, along with other animals in Vera Vita’s care, face an uncertain future. And for the cat in Morocco, chemotherapy is the only chance to stop the tumour’s devastating growth.
