The "long-awaited" news has arrived. Expulsion orders have been issued
to comrades present in the "unscheduled" event of August 5, when the
procession that started from the garrison went beyond the permitted
paths and started a lively and active protest that created quite a bit
of confusion among the numerous forces of disorder. We will return to
this in the next issue; for now we will limit ourselves to pointing out
that among other nonsense, the comrades are accused of the crime of
disguise, when it is evident, even from the videos circulating since the
6th, that they all acted with their faces uncovered, except when they
had to protect themselves from smoke bombs.
In times of DDL 1660, or rather of considering even the act of standing
still a crime, the NO MUOS Movement, which has experienced every type of
repressive attack first-hand, is more determined than ever not to be
intimidated.
The Movement has decided to organize a winter camp from December 29th to
January 3rd. The organizational phase has already started, and the
program is being defined. It includes, in a haphazard way, in addition
to a series of initiatives in the previous weeks both in the city and in
the Sughereta, moments of play for children, debates on extractivism,
meetings on patriarchy and women's self-defense, repression, alternative
care and medicine, bicycle rides, a market of alternative economies, etc.
The winter camp will be particularly demanding and will certainly cause
inconveniences not found in the summer camp; however, the continuity of
the struggle, especially in this phase in which we have the war at home,
is important to give a leap in quality to the NO MUOS commitment. Its
announcement is already gaining consensus and support.
Responding to the appeal "No MUOS of the whole world let's go to
Florence", on Saturday 21st September a large group of comrades took
part in a segment of the anti-NATO march promoted by the NO NATO Command
Committee of Florence, which saw the participation of over 2000 people.
The reasons for our struggle were explained in the final speech of two
activists.
Among all the groups present in Florence, we are working on building a
national coordination against the war and a national mobilization for
November 4th.
