 On February 15th, 1999, Abdullah Öcalan, the mastermind of the Kurdish

freedom movement, was arrested by the Turkish state. Even 25 years
later, he is still in solitary confinement on the prison island of
Imrali. ---- His release is one of the central demands of the Kurdish
freedom movement. To make it visible, a large central demonstration will
take place in Cologne on November 16th. Various socialist forces are
calling for the formation of an internationalist bloc at the
demonstration. ---- We anarchists stand by the side of the Kurdish
freedom movement, its struggle for democratic self-determination,
women's liberation and ecology and the revolution in Kurdistan. Abdullah
Öcalan, who decisively pushed forward this perspective, must be released!

That is why we call on comrades from all over Germany and the
surrounding countries to take part in the demonstration, especially in
the internationalist block!

We anarchists will gather at 10:30 a.m. in front of the church of St.
Heribert. In the block you will find us with the anarchist flags & banners.
