Every year, countless animals suffer at the hands of repeat offenders. Thankfully, New Jersey has a chance to change this with "Moose's Law." The bill is named after Moose, a dog that was stolen from his home and killed at the hands of a supposed animal trainer. This bill offers a beacon of hope — barring people convicted of animal cruelty from ever working with or owning animals again.
The fact that people who have abused innocent creatures are still allowed to work with and own animals is chilling. Think of the animals left to languish in their own waste, their cries of pain ignored, their needs for love and care unmet. If passed, Moose's Law will finally address the gaping hole in New Jersey's legal system that allows convicted abusers to continue exploiting animals. Sign the petition to tell the New Jersey State Legislature to value animal welfare and pass Moose's Law!
Thank you,
Jess
