Alerta, alerta - what kind of anti-fascism do we need in the current
social situation? ---- This was a panel discussion as part of the
Anarchist Days in September in Dresden. Here is the announcement text
for the event: ---- The state election was no surprise for anyone who is
concerned with social developments! But that doesn't make it any less
bad! The shift to the right is not just a feeling, it can be experienced
everywhere. The election results from local and state elections are an
important aspect of the normalization of the AfD in Saxony. This shift
to the right is once again opening up social spaces in which people
openly express right-wing, racist and anti-queer views, in which young
neo-Nazis in particular are self-confident and attack people, in which
there are again regions in which people are afraid to live because they
do not fit into the world view of this right-wing mood. Anti-fascist
groups have been warning about this development for a long time. But
what do we do now with this social situation?

We have invited anti-fascist activists from various initiatives and
groups to talk to them about why they do anti-fascist work, which
strategies have worked well or not in the past and what is needed in the
future. The podium is limited and is exemplary of some approaches.
However, we warmly invite everyone from the audience to be part of this
discussion, as it almost certainly needs a broad-based movement!
