about the reaction of the employer. So e-food left "as a Christmas
present" to the workers another vindictive and unilateral "regulation"
that directly affects the working hours and wages of the salaried
distribution workers at e-food. In particular, the "regulation" in
question leads to the complete deregulation of the labor relations of
the company's salaried distributors, as it provides that their hours and
their hourly wages will be determined by the "algorithm" of the
application. We understand, therefore, that it is about the complete
dissolution of any stability in labor relations and the clear definition
of the work of distributors based exclusively on the company's needs and
not on their own.
This "adjustment" comes as a continuation of the blackmail that the
company had tried to impose on paid distributors to either quit or go
the freelancing route (2021). Against the appetites of the employer,
throughout the previous period, the working e-food distributors have
sharpened their struggles and are demanding collective labor agreements,
personal protective equipment provided by the company, compensation in
the event of a work "accident", inclusion of the sector in the and
unhealthy, the termination of the labor regime of arbitrariness of
contracts and the direct recruitment of workers directly by e-food with
defined labor rights such as above.
The specific unilateral and vindictive "setting" of the company brought
the immediate response of the e-food workers' union by declaring a
24-hour strike on 12/27, a work stoppage on 12/28, and a new 24-hour
strike on 1/10. From our side, we support the mobilizations and the fair
struggle of the e-food workers until the satisfaction and victory of
their claims. We stand in solidarity with every labor struggle that
challenges the power of the bosses to determine the destinies of the
lives of the people of our class, furthering their exploitation and
de-juicing. Fighting against state and capital, we fight daily for the
destruction of the old and rotten world of oppression and exploitation
of the many by the few, with a vision of a world of solidarity, equality
and freedom.
