We are witnessing the acceleration of a repressive path that has been
implemented by all the governments that have succeeded one another and
which have had as their sole objective the progressive contraction of
the spaces of freedom and social and political action.
The anarchist movement is particularly under attack, and is hit with all
the means available to the state not only for its presence in situations
of struggle but also in freedom of expression. There is an increasingly
pervasive use of control technology and police measures: the presumption
of guilt allows the control of anyone waiting for them to commit a
crime. Urban Daspo and expulsion orders are also issued based only on
the presumed "social dangerousness".

Even at a local level we are witnessing an increase in repressive
situations. Under the pretext of urban decorum, also in function of
tourist exploitation, it is decided to expel from some areas of the city
certain categories of "undesirable" people, also identified through
ethnic profiling. In the city of Rome, with the jubilee of the Catholic
Church, these measures will certainly see an increase.

The military in the streets remind us that the problem of governments is
the internal enemy: the proletariat, the exploited, migrants, the
non-homologated, the poor, on whom the "criminal law of the enemy" is
exercised. For these, the doors of prisons and CPRs are always open, now
exported across the border in an absurd escalation of hatred towards
those who only seek to escape from hopeless situations.

The anarchists of the FAI confirm their commitment to the fight for
freedom in a society without controllers or prisons.
