If you have not read Wester van Gaal's analysis on possible scenarios following a potential trade war with the United States, I would still highly recommend reading it.
A group of economists published a report for the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs outlining how bad could it get – the options range from bad to, and I quote the authors, 'armageddon'.
With trade chief Maroš Šefčovič heading today to Beijing after returning empty-handed from his visit to Washington, not much is expected in terms of concrete outcomes – both the EU and China are awaiting what will happen on 2 April.
President Donald Trump announced reciprocal tariffs that would kick in on that day, on what he has dubbed "Liberation Day" for the US economy. Best to be prepared.
