desired by the grassroots unions and associations that in these 18
months have never stopped fighting, denouncing the genocide of the
population of Gaza. We are, I believe, at the seventieth march against
the genocide in Gaza.

The large participation, already expected in the organizational
assemblies that were held, could give hope for the possibility of a
change of pace on the Palestinian question, but also on the
international situation in general. All readers of UN are well aware of
how disastrous the international situation is and how the possibility of
a war has never been so close. The pursuit of rearmament in Europe,
leading us in fact into a war economy, forces us all to participate
actively so that the situation does not fall on our lives and on those
of all the exploited. We believe it is important, indeed vital, that we
push towards a real general strike against rearmament, against war and
for the reconversion of the factories of death. The proposal of an
international general strike against war starting from the territory
where we live should be proposed again and again on every occasion. Even
if today it seems difficult to implement, it is and remains the most
formidable instrument to crack the wall of militarism.

Another important element for me is the national paradigm that
unfortunately with Palestine is having repercussions on Palestine
itself: the unity of the struggles in that area is a must, the
Palestinian question and the Kurdish situation are inseparable.
Internationalism should be like daily bread. The failure of national
states and the consequence of the growth of nationalisms now give the
measure of the failure of these dystopian practices.

I believe that today the situation must be addressed from a class point
of view, with the consequent need to tear down states and borders. I
think that slogans like "Immortal Palestine" should give shivers to any
person with a critical and materialist sense of history.

Being many at the demonstration on the 12th is important, but also being
there with words that unite the proletarians of all places... Our
Homeland is the Whole World is not just a slogan, but an essential
imperative.
