The general assembly of the Sicilian Anarchist Federation was held on
Saturday 22 February at the Società dei libertari in Ragusa. ---- With amaieutic approach, an attempt was made to get to the bottom of the
expectations and sensitivities of those present. ---- Antimilitarism,
the No Muos struggle and desertion were the main focus of the
discussion. Limits, critical issues, projects and prospects of the No
Muos movement were the subject of a heated debate, starting from the new
phase that the struggle is going through, but also taking into account
the international upheavals involving the various war scenarios. The
anarchist comrades active in the No Muos committees are determined to
continue investing in this battle that maintains great potential, trying
to focus attention on the need to rebuild a close bond with the
population through adequate objectives and tools.
The federation will implement a campaign on desertion, with leaflets in
schools and militarized zones, inviting students, workers and citizens
to dissociate themselves from war policies. A campaign that enhances the
possibility of saying no, but that ideally connects to the desertions on
the Russian-Ukrainian and Israeli fronts.
The possibility of giving continuity to the seminar on "life choices as
a form of struggle" was therefore re-examined with a second appointment
focused on practical-organizational implications.
The assembly enthusiastically welcomed the recent constitution of the
Collettivo Libertario Etneo.
After having addressed some organizational aspects (management of the
blog-fas and the federal fund), comrades concluded the evening around a
good pizza.
