WORLD WORLDWIDE AFRICA MOROCCO - ANIMALS - AFA - Animals First Aid - Monday 9 June 2025.

Join us to help Fatim save countless injured cats in Morocco

Dear friends,

You Can Save Me Shelter—founded by three brave young Moroccans, including the compassionate Fatim—stands as a lifeline for nearly 150 cats who’ve been abandoned, beaten, or broken. With zero government support and no major backing, they rely entirely on donors like you to keep going. This is where your love turns into healing.

Why Morocco’s Cats Desperately Need Us-

Cats in Morocco are often treated as vermin. From poisonings to road injuries, the cruelty they endure is staggering. They suffer alone, invisible to most. But Fatim and her team are changing that—offering compassion in a country where animals often receive none.

One supporter wrote:

“We brought a sick stray kitty to them—they were kind and accepted her right away… a real place that rescues the cats.”

She Couldn't Cry for Help—Her Jaw Was Shattered

Earlier this month, a silent soul was found lying under a parked car. Her jaw had been crushed in what we suspect was a hit-and-run. She couldn’t eat, couldn’t meow—she could only tremble. The team rushed her into emergency care. She is now safe, but her surgery and recovery are just beginning.

A Swollen Tumor, a Race Against Time

Just days later, another call came in. A cat was spotted dragging herself across a dusty alley, her side swollen grotesquely by an untreated tumor. She had been living like that for who knows how long. The pain must have been unbearable. Thanks to your past support, the shelter could intervene immediately—another life saved from silent agony.

She Had No Eyes Left, and Her Jaw Was Broken Too

The hardest case this month came unexpectedly. A cat was brought in after being found on the roadside. Her eyes were gone—likely the result of abuse—and her jaw was fractured like the first. She was terrified but alive. To hold her is to hold the weight of what humans have done… and the love it takes to undo it.
