On July 9, 2023, activists from four anarchist political organizations
concluded the first session of the congress, which decided to form a
single national organization. We founded the Libertarian Socialist
Organization (OSL), based on the contributions of especifismo and
platformism, with the intention of influencing mass struggles and thus
intervening in Brazilian social reality, with an anarchist perspective.
---- In these two years, we can say that we have made progress in our
construction, expanding our activist base, improving the quality of our
work, and further developing our strategic and programmatic guidelines.
We have been present in important struggles during this period, such as:
in the union sector; in the defense of communities and slums against
eviction, gentrification, and police violence; in supporting various
movements; in solidarity with the Palestinian people; and in denouncing
the various governments in power that attack the rights of the oppressed
classes.
At the same time, we are advancing our internal organization, holding
the second session of our Congress in January 2024, and preparing for
the third and final session of this 1st OSL Congress - ConOSL -, which
will be held soon.
Convinced that we still have much to mature and advance, we celebrate
this second anniversary by reinforcing our commitment to the struggles
of the working class and the construction of Libertarian Socialism!
