WORLD WORLDWIDE EUROPE FRANCE - news journal UPDATE - (en) France, OCL: Brochure - Technocritique versus Technofascism: For a Revolutionary and Inclusive Ecology by VNPS in Saint-Nazaire (ca, de, fr, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

https://vous-netes-pas-seuls.org/2025/07/04/technocritique-contre-technofascisme-pour-une-ecologie-revolutionnaire-et-inclusive/
We offer here a text from the collective You Are Not Alone that we feel
is worth sharing and discussing. ---- This substantial brochure (36 A4
pages) continues and updates, in a way, the one from the Ruptures
collective "Who's Afraid of Anti-Industrial Critique?", which we
republished here in January 2024. Its value is that it presents and
discusses the notion of technocritique, as well as the objectives and
strategies of the movements inspired by this thought to put an end to
capitalist barbarism.

Of course, we don't agree with everything in this text. It will always
be possible to quibble over semantic issues, or to express outright
disagreement. We have reservations, for example, about the term
"techno-fascism," preferring "techno-totalitarianism," which avoids the
pitfalls of demonization and recourse to the "supreme evil." We doubt
the relevance of the term "our camp," preferring "revolutionary camp,"
and we have serious reservations about positioning ourselves within
"inclusive" tendencies, as they are generally fraught with exclusion or
exclusivity. But rather than basing our decisions on preconceived
notions about a title or a few questionable expressions, we thought it
would be worthwhile to make the effort to understand a political
approach addressed to us.

We will undoubtedly have the opportunity to return to all of this on
this site or in the columns of Courant Alternatif, but we first feel it
is necessary to publicize this text, which is a fine effort at
clarification within the radical ecology movement and an essential
affirmation of the rejection of the phenomena of ostracism and
sectarianism that affect critical thinking today. And they are obstacles
to the development of a revolutionary movement that meets the challenges
of the current period.

It's also an opportunity to discover a group we weren't familiar with
until now, and it's always pleasant to meet new comrades.

Presentation
While technofascism, this objective alliance between authoritarian
regimes and high technologies, is emerging as our official political
future, we wish to articulate ideas that we believe are too rare to
modestly participate in the resistance. Despite decisive theoretical
work, resistance will not be achieved solely on the terrain of ideas. We
will have to fight. We still need to agree on a target, a strategy, and
find allies.

We do not claim to unite the different branches of radical ecology, the
only political group truly concerned with keeping the Earth habitable.
Its internal fractures are deep, sometimes for reasons beyond our
understanding.

However, we are seeing a worrying increase in attacks violent attacks
emanating from our camp against some of the figures, collectives, or
movements to which we feel close. Starting with often simplistic and
slanderous shaming by association, an entire section of radical ecology
finds itself banished. Texts call for "building dikes," while
influential collectives prefer to reach out to liberal ecology.

The entire political ecology finds itself disarmed. The (already slim)
chances of putting an end to extinction are approaching zero. The
ambition of this text: to reject the duality that condemns us, to try to
prove that a revolutionary and inclusive technocritique can exist, in
order to make the fight against technofascism and for a habitable Earth
more effective-or already more understandable.
