| 20,000 Dogs & 5,000 Donkeys at Risk in Tanzania — Help Them Survive
Dear friends,
Across Tanzania, thousands of dogs and donkeys live on the edge of survival. They are companions, guardians, protectors, and lifelines for families who depend on them — yet they endure rabies outbreaks, starvation, exhaustion, and merciless culling. Right now, 20,000 dogs and 5,000 working donkeys face a grim fate if we do not act. Their survival depends on us — and on you. |

| | | | Rabies Strikes, and Innocent Dogs Pay the Price |
|
| When rabies flared in Kibaha District earlier this year, authorities planned to cull dogs en masse. Panic spread, and entire communities feared losing their beloved companions. But thanks to your generosity, Animals First Aid rushed finances to our partner TAWESO for a mass vaccination drive. Hundreds of dogs were spared from slaughter, and families were spared the heartbreak of losing them .
One of those lives is Simba. He was sick, frail, and on the brink of death. Today, Simba runs free, fully recovered, his wagging tail a symbol of hope .
Simba’s story is proof: when we stand together, lives are saved. But for every Simba, there are thousands more still at risk. |

| | | | | The Silent Suffering of Working Donkeys |
|
| In Geita, working donkeys toil from dawn to dusk. They carry impossible loads of firewood, water, and bricks, often beaten into submission when they collapse from exhaustion. Many never know rest, medicine, or kindness. With your help, our partner TAHUCHA is preparing lifesaving deworming and vaccination campaigns . These donkeys are more than “beasts of burden.” They are the backbone of poor families, yet they are treated as disposable tools. Without urgent help, thousands of these gentle creatures will collapse under the weight of poverty. |
|
| | | | | Tanzania’s Rescue Drive: Keep Them Alive |
|
| This is bigger than a single shelter or campaign. It is a national crisis. Together with TAWESO and TAHUCHA, we are launching the “Keep Them Alive: Tanzania Rescue Drive” — our most ambitious project in East Africa.
Our mission is to reach 20,000 dogs and 5,000 donkeys with vaccines, food, treatment, and protection before it is too late. This is not charity. This is survival. |

| | | What Your Gift Will Do Today |
|
| Your compassion will decide whether these animals live or die: ● $30 vaccinates and deworms 10 dogs, sparing them from rabies and disease. ● $75 provides medicine and rest care for 3 donkeys staggering under unbearable loads. ● $150 equips a mobile clinic with vaccines and emergency treatment for a village. ● $500 or more fuels an entire day of lifesaving work — vaccines, gloves, syringes, food, and rescues. Every contribution has the power to transform despair into hope. |

| | | Why Now? Because Tomorrow Will Be Too Late |
|
| Rabies does not wait. Hunger does not wait. Exhaustion does not wait. If we delay, dogs will be culled, donkeys will collapse, and entire communities will lose the animals they depend on. Simba is alive because people like you acted in time. Now we ask you to stand with us again, so thousands more can share Simba’s tomorrow. |
