Bonjour à Toots ! Encore le plein de jazz dans votre club 🎶 Mardi, rien ne change à part les joueurs : tournoi de blitz ♟️ et ouverture de 18h30 à 00h30. Mercredi, la jam sera ouverte par le pianiste brugeois Wouter van den Broeck 🎹, ça va swinguer sévère ! Jeudi, Igor Gehenot ouvrira la soirée en piano solo 🎼, avec une belle promo sur la bière Omer 🍺 et les planches apéro 🧀🥖. L’entrée est gratuite. À 21h, place au jazz des origines avec Alice Riberolles & The Hot Stompers 🎺 : ambiance New Orleans garantie, pensez à réserver. Vendredi, Federico Milone et son équipe de choc 🎷 pour un jazz moderne et mélodique, avant une late jam menée par Vincent Thekal. Samedi, un trio de piliers du jazz bruxellois : Vincent Mardens, Sal La Rocca et Jan De Haas. La late jam sera ouverte par Thomas Grimmonprez, accompagné d’Igor Gehenot et d’un Sal La Rocca bien occupé ce soir-là !  Dimanche, grosse journée ✨. À 16h, le trio du grand Erik Vermeulen rendra hommage aux compositeurs qui ont marqué les groupes de Miles Davis 🎶 : de Bill Evans à Herbie Hancock en passant par Wayne Shorter. Le soir, place à l’un des guitaristes new-yorkais les plus en vue : Rotem Sivan 🎸. Adoubé par Peter Bernstein et salué par DownBeat Magazine, il présentera son nouvel album avec la virtuosité et la musicalité qui font sa réputation. À ne pas manquer. Bekijk de prachtige foto’s van Julien Wadin op Instagram om de sfeer van onze concerten en toernooien te proeven. 👉 Woensdag: trompettiste Pauline Leblond opent de jam (toegang aan vrije bijdrage zoals altijd). 👉 Donderdag: Casimir Liberski keert terug voor het piano solo aperitief 🎹. Speciale promo op onze apéroplank: 2 Omer-bieren + kaas + worst voor slechts €20! Daarna is ons huisorkest terug – een all-star band die de jaren ’20 tot ’50 tot leven brengt alsof u in een tijdmachine stapt. ⚡ Uitzonderlijk evenement vrijdag & zaterdag! We ontvangen het collectief Scatter The Atoms That Remain, geleid door de legendarische Franklin Kiermyer (bekend van zijn werk met Pharoah Sanders). Geïnspireerd door de geest van John Coltrane brengt dit ensemble muziek vol spiritualiteit, intensiteit en gulheid. Verwacht een buitengewone, grensverleggende ervaring met uitzonderlijke muzikanten. 🚀 Late jams beide avonden met Marek Patrman. 👉 Zondag: crooner-sfeer 🎙️ met twee concerten. 16u: Nostalgia in Grand-Place – de Gillain-broers en de magische stem van Andrew Bolton brengen een eerbetoon aan Nat King Cole. ’s Avonds: de Amerikaan Tom McGuire vertolkt het Great American Songbook in de geest van Frank Sinatra, met al het charisma van een echte entertainer. 🎟️ Vergeet niet te reserveren – en kom vroeg voor de beste plaatsen! 😎 Hello at Toots! Another week packed with jazz at the club 🎶 On Tuesday, it’s blitz tournament night ♟️ — doors open from 6:30 pm to 12:30 am. On Wednesday, Bruges pianist Wouter van den Broeck 🎹 will open the jam — get ready to swing! Thursday begins with a solo piano set by Igor Gehenot 🎼, plus a special on Omer beer 🍺 and sharing boards 🧀🥖. Free entry. At 9 pm, Alice Riberolles & The Hot Stompers 🎺 bring the heat of New Orleans — booking recommended. Friday, Federico Milone and his band deliver modern and melodic jazz 🎷, followed by a late jam led by Vincent Thekal. On Saturday, a heavyweight Brussels trio takes the stage: Vincent Mardens, Sal La Rocca and Jan De Haas. The late jam will be opened by Thomas Grimmonprez, joined by Igor Gehenot and a very busy Sal La Rocca!  Sunday will be a highlight ✨. At 4 pm, Erik Vermeulen’s trio pays tribute to the composers who shaped Miles Davis’s groups 🎶: Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter… In the evening, we welcome one of New York’s most exciting guitarists: Rotem Sivan 🎸. Endorsed by Peter Bernstein and praised by DownBeat Magazine, he presents his new album with the virtuosity and musicality that have earned him acclaim. Not to be missed.

Nostalgia In Grand Place : Composers For Miles - TRIBUTE dimanche 5 octobre - 16:00 Erik Vermeulen (p) ; Manolo Cabras (b) ; Marek Patrman (dr) Miles Davis, besides being one of the most important musicians in the history of jazz and the creator of many of its currents, was also an extraordinary discoverer of talent. Most of the artists who passed through the bands of the genius trumpeter went on to build exceptional solo careers. While he signed several masterpieces himself, many of his protégés composed for him – officially or not. From Bill Evans to Wayne Shorter, via Herbie Hancock, many of these works have become true jazz classics. It is this common thread that will be explored by one of our finest pianists: Erik Vermeulen.
