closer to understanding the mechanisms and structures that allow us to
live in a sick and polymedicated society today.
Pharmaceutical lobbies that influence the legislation and regulation of
the drug market. Systemic and systematic fraud where corruption,
conflicts of interest and bribes travel through all layers of the
system, from high political spheres to the CAPS.
Cruel, manipulated and fraudulent clinical trials, often carried out by
private companies hired ad hoc by the same pharmaceutical companies, in
order to obtain the desired results. Clinical trials that if they are
not favorable, and cannot be faked, are hidden with the necessary
complicity of the administrations and regulatory agencies.
Millions of public euros that pass through the health system to end up
fattening the coffers of Big Pharma, to the detriment of the deficient
hiring of professionals and that, paradoxically, does not result in an
improvement in the health of the population; quite the opposite.
Diagnosis of diseases in healthy people by supposedly inadequate
laboratory values according to parameters established with criteria
lacking independent scientific studies or, pathologizing social unrest
by labeling it with a wide range of names of disorders. The most
overmedicated population today are the most vulnerable people.
Over-diagnosis, inadequate doses, unjustifiably indefinite treatments,
drug cocktails, lead to a scenario of Iatrogenicity with thousands of
deaths and illnesses that in most cases go unpunished.
A terrifying panorama where patients are little more than potential
customers of unscrupulous drug multinationals with insulting profits.
