Invitation to the Courant Alternatif Journal Commission on October 18
and 19 ---- The next meeting of the Courant Alternatif Journal
Commission, the anarchist-communist monthly, will take place in Paris.
---- Program: Saturday, October 18 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.: debate ---- A
political situation of extreme rightward shift ---- The far right is
moving inexorably closer to power, if it is not already there. It seems
increasingly clear that it has become an attractive option for capital;
in fact, one can observe that for capital it is better to see the far
right win (whether under the label RN, Reconquête, LR, or another - it
matters little here) than to make a few meager concessions to calm
social unrest. We can observe that there are more and more physical
attacks on activists, elected officials, or local spaces, and all with
total impunity (although this impunity is not new). While we all agree
not to let ourselves be instrumentalized into an anti-fascist front
serving social democracy, nor dragged into a tit-for-tat cycle of
attack-response-attack - which we would inevitably lose militarily - we
still need to reflect on whether and how these new political conditions
change our capacity for struggle and our interventions on the ground.
Are we ready for these new political conditions and ... what should we do?
5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.: review of the fall issue (October 2025, No. 353)
7 p.m.: aperitif and dinner at free price
8:30 p.m.: wishes and proposals for the December issue (No.355)
Sunday, October 19: 9 a.m.: finalization of issue No. 355
To know the location and inform us as soon as you know if you plan to
stay for the meal so we can plan the right quantities, please contact us
