Sparing no expense, Le Monde Libertaire sent two libertarian reporters
to visit two locations, two demonstrations... ---- Calvados, it'smoving! ---- Early this morning, roadblocks were in place, previously
organized by the general assembly, as everywhere else. ---- In Caen, the
Malherbe high school was also blocked, but the forces of disorder had
been well informed and, as with the roadblocks, asked the demonstrators
to please leave, with all the tact they are known for. ---- At 11 a.m.,
in Caen, the demonstration called by the inter-union group was underway.
The organizers announced 20,000 people, and the authorities 10,200 (we
are still searching in vain for these 200 pilgrims counted using a
method certainly at the cutting edge of technoscience).
The truth probably lies somewhere in between, but it's true that, as far
as Normans can remember, the records (without medals) were probably broken.
The FA's Calvados liaison was present and was able to make several
contacts. We were also pleased to see a very anarchistic tone and
slogans that are often our own, particularly from motivated young
people, probably aware of the future offered to them by the
political-capitalist system.
Curiously, there were no rookies before, during, or after the
demonstration, which concluded around 14 Place St-Sauveur with a general
assembly.
A new demonstration begins at 6 p.m.
Other blockades will certainly take place.
This time, the people of Caen won't give up easily, and we're delighted
to see the number of people who have truly become aware of all the
current issues: social, racist, authoritarian, and violent attacks,
sexist, environmental, not to mention the denunciation of the Gaza genocide.
This evening, the Liaison is in Vire. The city is calmer, of course. 300
people present; apparently, there are no problems at this hour.

"And more than the sea air, the mildness of Angers..."
5,300 demonstrators in Angers according to the press... A crowd, in any
case.
I was with my flag, and four people came up to me, asking me what the FA
was, how to join... Impressive.
I had the opportunity to say a few words to a journalist from
Ouest-France. But the fact that I call for the end of capitalism wasn't
taken into account. Too bad.
