🎷A Huge Week of Music at Toots — Don’t Miss Out!

Avant de vous présenter le programme, nous vous rappelons que vous pouvez acheter sur notre site des pass de 5 concerts ainsi que des cartes cadeau, parfaits pour mettre du jazz sous le sapin 🎁… et soutenir l’économie culturelle locale 😉 Rien n’arrête les Blitz du mardi : nous avons même eu la visite d’un jeune maître international la semaine dernière, qui a gentiment marché sur ses adversaires ! Venez faire un tour, tous les niveaux sont les bienvenus et l’ambiance est toujours bienveillante. Mercredi, c’est Martin Salemi avec son trio qui ouvrira notre jam, toujours aussi populaire et chaque semaine remplie de nouveaux talents. Jeudi, Margaux Vranken assurera le piano bar, juste avant l’événement du mois d’octobre qu’il ne faut manquer sous aucun prétexte (il reste seulement quelques places !) : la venue de Paul Cornish. Avec son trio, il vient de sortir un album sur le prestigieux label Blue Note. C’est LE pianiste dont tout le monde parle, et vu la trajectoire de sa carrière, on ne sait pas si nous aurons encore la chance de l’accueillir dans l’intimité de notre club ! Vendredi, nous accueillons un pilier du jazz européen : le guitariste Romain Pilon, avec son trio, son son unique et une classe impressionnante — à ne pas manquer. La late jam sera lancée par le toujours swinguant Mathieu De Wit. Samedi, nous lançons une nouvelle série d’apéros jazz en duo pendant toute la durée du Marché de Noël. Pour cette première édition, Joachim Caffonnette invite la jeune et talentueuse chanteuse Adinda Hertmans de 17h30 à 18h30 (gratuit). Le soir, le Filippo Bianchini Quartet — tout droit venu d’Italie — viendra mettre le feu au club 🔥 pour vous réchauffer en ces températures polaires ! La late jam sera ouverte par Joachim, Marek Patrman et Manolo Cabras. Enfin, dimanche, Guillaume Gillain s’attaque au répertoire de la légende Wes Montgomery, suivi de votre rendez-vous mensuel : la Crooner Night de Tom McGuire et ses New-Yorkers 🎩✨ Venez vivre la musique locale, un verre à la main et les oreilles dans les étoiles ⭐️… c’est quand même mieux que le froid, la pluie, les plateformes de streaming et les budgets d’État ! Vorige week kregen we zelfs bezoek van een nieuwe internationale meester, die zijn tegenstanders vriendelijk maar vastberaden van het bord veegde. Iedereen is welkom, van beginner tot expert — de sfeer is altijd warm en positief. Op woensdag opent Martin Salemi met zijn trio onze populaire jamsessie, die elke week opnieuw nieuwe talenten aantrekt. Op donderdag verzorgt Margaux Vranken het pianobar-moment, vlak voor het evenement van oktober (er zijn nog maar een paar plaatsen vrij!): de komst van Paul Cornish. Hij bracht net een album uit op het legendarische Blue Note label. Hij is dé pianist waar momenteel iedereen over spreekt, en met de vaart die zijn carrière neemt, weten we niet of we hem nog eens in de intieme setting van onze club zullen kunnen ontvangen! Voor deze eerste editie nodigt Joachim Caffonnette de jonge en getalenteerde zangeres Adinda Hertmans uit, van 17u30 tot 18u30 — gratis toegang. ’s Avonds komt het Filippo Bianchini Quartet uit Italië het clubje opwarmen 🔥 tijdens deze ijskoude dagen! Last week we even welcomed a new international master, who very politely crushed his opponents. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, everyone is welcome — the atmosphere is always friendly. On Wednesday, Martin Salemi and his trio will open our ever-popular jam session, which continues to bring in fresh new talent every week. On Thursday, Margaux Vranken will host the piano bar before the must-see event of October (only a few seats left!): the arrival of Paul Cornish. With his trio, he just released an album on the legendary Blue Note label. He’s the pianist everyone is talking about right now, and with the way his career is taking off, it’s hard to know if we’ll ever have the chance to welcome him again in the intimate setting of our club! Active for many years, his impressive technical mastery allows him to express his melodic ideas with remarkable ease and one of the most elegant guitar tones of our time. Having collaborated with some of the greatest — from Brian Blade to Walter Smith III, as well as Jeff Ballard and Ben Wendel — he is joined today by drummer Fred Pasqua, a pillar of French jazz, and the young Ton Felices, only 23 years old but already acclaimed by many leading figures of the jazz world, as his impressive list of collaborations attests.
