| Help SARA rescue dogs injured in road accidents and left abandoned
Dear friends, For many of you, SARA Morocco is not a new name. They are one of our longest-standing partners and one of the very first organizations that trusted Animals First Aid to stand beside them in the hardest moments. Long before emergency appeals and social media attention, SARA was already there — rescuing, treating, and protecting dogs no one else would help.
|
|
| | Founded on compassion and relentless dedication, SARA Morocco has spent decades responding to the suffering of street dogs across Morocco. Today, they are caring for hundreds of dogs every single day, many of them disabled, injured, or permanently changed by road accidents and human cruelty. Their work is constant, exhausting, and deeply life-saving — and it continues only because supporters like you have never turned away.
Because of your generosity, we have been able to fund surgeries, emergency care, food, transport to specialists, and ongoing treatment. |

| Dogs who would not have survived their injuries are alive today — not just surviving, but healing. This impact is real, and it belongs to you. |
|
| One of those lives is Mercy. When Mercy arrived at SARA as a puppy, her front leg had already been shattered by a car. By the time she reached safety, the leg was completely deformed — bent unnaturally, shaped like an “L.” The team made repeated trips to Marrakech, hoping to save it. Each time, Mercy was too sick to survive surgery. When she finally became strong enough, it was heartbreakingly too late. The leg could not be saved and had to be amputated. |
|
| | And yet today, Mercy runs. She plays. She lives without pain. She is full of joy, energy, and trust — a three-legged dog who proves that survival is not the end goal. Dignity is. This is what your support makes possible. But the emergencies never stop. Right now, SARA is caring for two new accident victims, both fighting for their futures |

| One brown dog has been with the team for over a month after a severe road accident left both of his back legs damaged — one of them completely unusable. He is stable for now, but his future depends on whether SARA can afford further diagnostics and, eventually, a possible amputation when funds allow. |

| Then there is Zahra, a gentle black dog whose injuries were so severe she could barely stand when she arrived. Both back legs were damaged, one more critically than the other. With time, care, and patience, Zahra is slowly reclaiming her strength. She is now moving around on her own, improving day by day — but her recovery is far from complete, and continued treatment is essential. |

| Their dogs are alive because you chose to care — and they are still counting on you. |
|
| These are not isolated cases. They are part of an endless cycle of rescues SARA faces daily. Dogs hit by cars, abandoned when they become “too expensive,” left to suffer on the streets until someone finally intervenes. SARA intervenes — every time. But they cannot do it alone.
As one of our longest-standing partners, SARA Morocco represents everything Animals First Aid exists for: consistency, integrity, and unwavering compassion in places where help is scarce. Supporting them is not about starting something new — it is about not abandoning what you have already helped build.
