One of those lives is Mercy. When Mercy arrived at SARA as a puppy, her front leg had already been shattered by a car. By the time she reached safety, the leg was completely deformed — bent unnaturally, shaped like an “L.” The team made repeated trips to Marrakech, hoping to save it. Each time, Mercy was too sick to survive surgery. With time, care, and patience, Zahra is slowly reclaiming her strength.
