| Beaten, Injured, Forgotten—Your Compassion Helps Them LiveDear, Last year, because of you, something extraordinary happened in Morocco.
Thanks to the generosity and faith of Animals First Aid supporters, our long-time partner You Can Save Me Shelter expanded beyond survival. Walls were reinforced. Space was created. More cats were taken off the streets than ever before. Animals who once had no future found food, safety, and dignity.
You helped build hope where none existed.
But 2026 has arrived with a cruelty that refuses to slow down. Instead, the calls are coming faster. The injuries are worse. And the number of cats needing urgent care is overwhelming even the strongest rescuers.
Fatim, who runs You Can Save Me Shelter with unwavering resolve, is facing cases no human heart should have to endure — yet she shows up every single day. |

| Luc, a monthly gift of $100 / £80 / €92 helps cover emergency rescues, hospitalization, and follow-up care for cats who still have a chance if help arrives in time. |
|
| One of those cases ended in tragedy. A cat was beaten so brutally that despite reaching veterinary care, his body could not survive the violence inflicted on him. He died knowing pain, not kindness. His death was not inevitable. It was preventable. And he is not alone. |

| In Morocco, animals — especially cats — are still widely seen as disposable. Abuse is rarely punished. Suffering is normalized. Euthanasia is often proposed as the “solution” simply because care costs money. But euthanasia is not care. And it is not an option we accept. Because when rescue exists, when treatment exists, when compassion exists — giving up is a choice. And we choose to fight. |

| The treatment is expensive. The timeline is tight. |
|
| Just days ago, Fatim received another desperate message. A woman had found a cat collapsed in the street — weak, disoriented, her eyes swollen, her balance failing. The cat trusted her enough to follow her home. For a moment, it seemed like rest might be enough. It wasn’t. As the days passed, the symptoms worsened. A serious viral illness began to show itself. Without medication, the prognosis is grim. The treatment is expensive. The timeline is tight. And yet, this cat is still breathing. Still fighting.

| | Still waiting for humans to decide if her life matters. This is what You Can Save Me Shelter faces every single month: a flood of suffering paired with a shortage of resources. More rescues than ever before, and not enough funding to meet the need. That is why this campaign matters so deeply.

To keep the shelter operating, to respond to emergencies, to treat viral infections, injuries, and trauma, and to refuse euthanasia as a default outcome, we must secure monthly, dependable support.
Here is what that support makes possible: A monthly gift of $25 / £20 / €23 helps provide food and basic care for rescued cats who would otherwise starve on the streets.
A monthly gift of $50 / £40 / €46 contributes to lifesaving veterinary treatment, including antibiotics, antivirals, and wound care for injured and abused cats.
A monthly gift of $100 / £80 / €92 helps cover emergency rescues, hospitalization, and follow-up care for cats like the one who collapsed in the street — cats who still have a chance if help arrives in time.
A monthly commitment of $250 / £200 / €230 helps sustain the shelter itself — rent, utilities, cleaning supplies, and the basic infrastructure that allows rescue to continue at all.

Every dollar, every pound, every euro goes toward one thing: keeping the door open for the next cat who is beaten, hit by a car, poisoned, abandoned, or simply born unwanted. We cannot stop asking for your help — because the suffering does not stop. But we can promise you this: your support is not wasted. It is felt in every clean bowl of food, every treated wound, every frightened cat who learns that humans can be kind. Morocco may have a long history of turning away from animals in need. But together, we are changing that story — one rescued life at a time.
