Two books dedicated to the photography of extermination sites have just been published. The extermination of the Jews was composed of three phases: extermination by starvation in the ghettos, extermination by shootings beginning with the invasion of the USSR in 1941, and the camps following the Wannsee Conference in 1942. These two books focus on the memory of the sites of mass murder. The first is the result of photographic work undertaken by a young professional.
