Holocaust Remembrance Day calls us to honor all who suffered and were murdered under Nazi terror. Among them were LGBTQ+ people, many forced to wear pink triangles in concentration camps — a mark meant to dehumanize those accused of homosexuality. As LGBTQ+ lives continue to be threatened across the globe, we honor the past by standing up in the present. Today, the pink triangle has been reclaimed as a sign of remembrance, resilience, and resistance.
