Mutual Support Aragon announces the start of a new phase of work and reorganization "after several months without public activity" resulting from an internal process that has led to the departure of some of its members.
During this period of inactivity, the organization has not held public meetings, published its newsletter 'Colectividad', issued statements or analyses on the social and political situation, or maintained any activity on social media. Internal training programs that were underway were also suspended.
According to the organization, "in recent years, different conceptions of the membership and of the organization itself became evident, making it difficult to reach a common synthesis for collective progress." This disagreement culminated in the departure of some members in the summer of 2025.
"Those of us who remained have undertaken the necessary self-criticism and have set about rebuilding a project that is useful for social movements," states Apoyo Mutuo Aragón. "Our commitment remains firm to a free society, of free and equal people, where life prevails over accumulation."
Apoyo Mutuo Aragón defines itself as a political organization belonging to the libertarian socialist tradition, which seeks to unite the different sectors of the Aragonese working class under a common project of social transformation "that transcends capitalism through the autonomous development of workers' and popular institutions, and not through the conquest of the bourgeois state apparatus," they emphasize.
At an organizational level, Apoyo Mutuo Aragón is based on confederalism and the social integration of a political strategy developed through analysis and collective debate among its members.
In a context of growing uncertainty, the organization reiterates "the need to join forces: Aragonese society faces challenges and threats that we must address together with social movements and democratic forces, with responsibility, resolve, and hope," Apoyo Mutuo Aragón concludes.
